… but it‘s a textured fabric that imitates the step stitch look.
STEP is coated with a strong, permanently adhesive nonwoven,which ensures that appliqués are durable and dimensionally stable.
STEP eliminates the need to embroider logos and emblems, reduces machine running times and lets you work productively.

STEP - Fabric with a Lock-Stitch Optical Effect 

STEP can fray when cutting with scissors or a cutting plotter. Therefore it is recommended to laser the appliqués before embroidering, this will fuse the edges. 

There are two ways of working with appliqués: 

• Direct embroidery on the textile 
• Patches that can be sewn or ironed onto the textile at a later time.
